RIYADH: The Ministry of Education (MoE) launched an online service for direct communication between the education minister and officials of the ministry in order to enhance efficiency and further increase productivity for citizens seeking the ministry’s services.

Launched on Sunday, the direct service is a mechanism accessible to connect with the minister, and officials at the ministry and all its sectors to make suggestions or inquiries, or to offer an opinion or advice, a local daily reported.

The objective of the e-service is to ensure that the feedback arrives through an effective electronic notification system via email and SMSs, and that the digital queries and concerns are addressed in due time.

The widening of service by the MoE aims to keep pace with the increasing number of service seekers, and to speed up responses on feedback and suggestions. It will ensure service to all beneficiaries using an electronic system and making their entries electronically.

The Kingdom is moving quickly toward a knowledge-based economy by bringing about a qualitative change in teaching methods, updating curriculum as per local market needs, and improving its education infrastructure which resulted in several Saudi universities ranking better worldwide.
