JEDDAH: The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced 11 new goals, marking a significant increase in the level of services to be offered to citizens in the Kingdom.

The most important of them are the enhancement of primary health care and patient security, increased operational capacities, domestic manufacture of equipment and medications, and health insurance for all citizens, local media has reported.

The MoH recently announced creation of a charter for its workers to highlight the distinguished abilities of the ministry’s team. The goals of the charter include changes in health services such as radical enhancement of the role played by modern technology in all its activities.

Goals also include the building of strong partnerships in the private and public sectors in the Kingdom and on the international level.

The ministry will also establish new models for investment and funding in health fields, besides developing governance and license systems. This will enhance the role of the private sector in supporting the health system, especially in nationalyzing the industries of medicine and medical equipment.

Opportunities will also be created for each citizen to receive health insurance. It will also enable employees to raise their capacity and expertise and will attract thousands of citizens to work in health services.

Moreover, the provision of further training for all MoH employees in addition to the implementation of a performance index in monitoring activities will also increase the quality of the ministry’s services.
