RIYADH: The Health Ministry is working toward privatization and it will be announced shortly, Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Duweila, deputy minister for health affairs, said here on Monday.
“The ministry is working in line with the vision 2030,” he said while inaugurating the Saudi Health Exhibition and Congress 2016 on behalf of Health Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Some 12 ambassadors from participating countries, media representatives and hundreds of visitors attended the opening ceremony.
Al-Duweila expressed his appreciation for the exhibition due to the huge participation of several countries, and also extended his gratitude to the sponsors of the event.
Under the slogan, “Change starts at a point, the transformation point,” Saudi Health, the largest health care event in the Kingdom, has been organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company in collaboration with Informa.
The three-day exhibition aims to shed light on the health care sector, upgrade the services and increase awareness among the local community.
With more than 550 exhibitors from 42 countries and 14 international pavilions, Saudi Health is considered the largest professional gathering for key players in the health sector from public and private sectors.
It is the ideal platform for communicating, exchanging experiences and identifying best practices in the health sector while showcasing the latest internationally accredited technologies and services for more than 19,000 decision-makers, medical and health care professionals visiting the exhibition.
A total of 15 medical and scientific conferences on important topics such as nursing, medical engineering and patient safety have been planned on the sidelines of the event.
The Health Ministry is participating in this event to discuss and review the latest innovative health solutions and to introduce the latest health services and support the public private partnership concept.
