The Nazria Pakistan Trust (Pakistan Perspective Trust) organized a program to celebrate the Istehkam-I-Pakistan (Continuity of Pakistan) and paid tribute to its founder, Dr. Majeed Nizami, at a local restaurant in Jeddah on Thursday.

The program was held with a lot of enthusiasm and participation from the Pakistani community in Jeddah.

The Jeddah women’s wing president, Safia Ishaq, welcomed the chief guest, Alina Mohammed Naeem Khan, wife of the assistant secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Ishaq shed light on the life and work of Dr. Majeed Nizami and his mission behind establishing the trust which was for the development and safeguarding of the interests of his country. She also spoke of his efforts to keep the ideology of Pakistan alive and its importance and to make the new generation aware of how Pakistan achieved its independence and the reasons for it.

“Nizami was a man of his word and very patriotic. With his death, Pakistan has suffered a great loss. It is in his memory that we need to pay attention to Istehkam-i-Pakistan as it is our identity and we should not lose it at any cost,” said Ishaq.

Alina Naeem praised the efforts of Safia Ishaq, and also lauded the women of the Pakistan community in Jeddah.

“Nazria Pakistan is the cornerstone of the establishment of Pakistan and it is our duty to forward the ideology to the coming generations,” Naeem said, adding that the trust was playing an excellent role by spreading the awareness and importance of the ideology of Pakistan.

She also hailed the efforts of Dr. Majeed Nizami and expressed sorrow at his demise. She congratulated Rafiq Tarar, former president of Pakistan, for his contribution to Nazria Pakistan and its progress.

Aisha Ameer Mohammed said that Dr. Majeed Nizami’s hard work would go down in history as an example for many generations to come and his work for Pakistan and Nazria Pakistan is a guarantee for the development and progress of Pakistan.

Rubila Rathore also paid tribute to Dr. Majeed Nizami and said he was an excellent and patriotic Pakistani who will always be remembered for his services.

The other speakers of the program were Najma Aijaz, Riffat Masood Puri, Arifa Imran, Dr. Shahida Jameil, Mrs. Basheer Afridi, and Mrs. Parviaz Yousef.
