A Nepalese expatriate worker in Jazan killed his compatriot and burned his body to destroy evidence, sabq.org reported Thursday, quoting a security source.

Police found the charred body following investigation into the disappearance of a Nepalese worker from a company. The killer confessed to committing the crime with another accomplice after drinking liquor that night.

Marba police launched the investigation after it received information into the disappearance of a 38-year-old Nepalese national from a company. The suspect pointed out that his accomplice was also of the same nationality. The two stabbed the victim to death and poured petrol all over the body before setting the corpse on fire.

Criminal investigation officers combed nearby townships to track down the suspects. The two were arrested within 24 hours of committing the crime, police said.
