JEDDAH: Several members of the public in Dammam have expressed outrage at a SR10 video game that has players blowing up mosques and other houses of worship.

They have called on the government to ban it. Shop owners said they were not aware of its content. “I know nothing about the content, but it is popular among young gamers,” said one trader. “I was surprised two days ago when one mother, who had bought the game for her son, came into the store and threw it on the floor, demanding to speak with the shop owner and threatening to report the matter to the police.”

One mother said the game shows Muslims of different sects fighting, during which mosques are targeted.
