Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan called on the Governor of Eastern Province Governor Prince Saud bin Naif at his office yesterday.
They expressed satisfaction at the status of cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Naeem Khan congratulated the governor on assumption of office and said that Prince Saud’s appointment was a well deserved acknowledgment of his leadership qualities and the trust that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah gave him.
Prince Naif said that the Kingdom enjoyed a special relationship with Pakistan. He said that Pak-Saudi relations were of a strategic nature and it was the endeavor of the Saudi leaders to further deepen these ties. Prince Saud recalled fondly his multiple trips to Pakistan in the past and the warmth of Pakistani public for the Saudi royal family.
The ambassador highlighted the contributions of the Pakistani doctors, engineers, financial experts and ordinary laborers to the progress and prosperity of the Kingdom.
They exchanged views on ways to ensure the welfare of Pakistani expatriates residing in the Eastern Province. Ambassador Naeem Khan briefed the governor on the status of Pakistani community schools in the Eastern Province. Prince Saud expressed support for steps to promote the interest of these schools. Prince Saud also invited Pakistani investment in the Eastern Province. Ambassador Naeem Khan said that he would encourage Pakistani investors to invest in the Eastern Province.
