MADINAH: A pharmacist at a hospital here has been accused of providing a girl incorrect medication, which caused her to lapse into a coma.

Family members of the girl from Yanbu, 12-year-old Nada Mubarak, said that she was taken to the hospital suffering from seizures, where a doctor prescribed her medication.

However, on Tuesday, 13 days after her visit to the hospital, she suffered such intense seizures she was unable to recognize family members, according to a report in a local publication recently.

She was then taken to a hospital in Yanbu where a doctor told the family she had not been given medication that was prescribed by the doctor in Madinah, according to the report.
