JUBAIL: The Health Services Program of the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) has announced that the commission’s hospital in Jubail started delivering a child car seat for each newborn child, to increase awareness on safety and neonatal care while driving the vehicle.

A specialized team will be responsible for installing the seats in the car of the child’s family to meet safety standards, and train parents on how to install and uninstall the seat when needed.

Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Kharashi, program director, said: “This initiative is a part of the ongoing development plan to increase awareness among parents to protect their children from traffic accidents, raise public support for health issues that affect the community, and encourage parents to use and install the newborn seats in their cars.”

The RCJ’s Health Services Program recently launched several medical services, including the opening of health clinics specializing in the problems of men, women and children, besides the dental, cardiac catheterization and burns clinics. Moreover, it has provided other services, including a visual medical contacts as well as micro-fiber services.
