Gas stations and rest stops located along the highways leading to Makkah will see a massive influx of visitors and Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan.

Such stations and rest stops have significantly improved their compliance with directives issued by the Makkah Municipality but are in further need of improvement.

Authorities have launched extensive inspection and supervisory rounds on these amenities, located along the highways leading to the holy city, to ensure high-level services.

Jeddah Mayor Hani Abu Ras recently signed a sponsorship agreement to implement a monument personifying the historical and environmental heritage of Saudi Arabia along with Princess Fahda bint Saud, chairwoman of the board of directors at the Faisaliah Women’s Charitable Society, to boost improvement initiatives.
