RIYADH: The Kingdom’s capital city has a wealth of potential to provide a pleasant experience in shopping and entertainment for the whole family, Riyadh Mayor Ibrahim Sultan said on Saturday during the ongoing Riyadh Shopping and Entertainment Festival 2015.

Last week, Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar opened the event which was organized under the auspices of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, the Riyadh Tourism Development Board and Riyadh Municipality.

The program aims to keep the capital vibrant during the summer and retain what is left of its population and attract more from surrounding regions. It is expected to attract a sizable number among the estimated 4.5 million visitors to the capital during the summer.
