The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) will hold a meeting this week with the chairmen of foreign engineers and architects’ groups at its headquarters in the Saudi capital.

The meeting will serve as a venue for the chairmen of foreign groups to become acquainted and establish closer cooperation while working in the Kingdom.

The SCE, which operates under the Ministry of Commerce, was established by royal decree to promote the local engineering profession.

The meeting is also expected to discuss various projects in the local construction industry and share expertise and common experiences in their respective fields.

“In other words, it will be a getting-to-know-each other session. The chairmen of engineering and architectural groups from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, among other countries, are expected to attend,” a source at the SCE told Arab News.
