JEDDAH: As students in the Kingdom prepare for their exams at the end of the academic year, educational directorates across all regions have announced their readiness for the upcoming tests. Additionally, traffic directorates have told their officers to be ready to provide safety for all students and teachers, especially around schools.
The Taif Educational Directorate has announced its readiness for the end of 2015-16 school year, as more than 250,000 students will sit their intermediate and secondary exams.
Taif Educational Directorate's General Director Mohammad Al-Shamrani said that everything has been made ready for students in government and private schools to sit their exams with the provision of over 1,000 male and female supervisors who will enter the schools on Sunday.
The Al-Baha Educational Directorate has also announced its readiness to receive 22,000 students to sit their exams. Director of Al-Baha Educational Directorate Saeed bin Mohammad Al-Makhaiyeesh said that nothing has been left to chance in their preparation for the event.
He said there is no nervousness or tension among the staff, and that supervisors are in place to perform their duties.
He also noted that the directorate has sent out circulars to warn parents and students against wrongful behavior such as gatherings at schools, and said that the directorate is working with the traffic police to avoid such issues.
At Dawadmi intermediate and secondary schools, some 21,000 students will take their exams. Like other directorates, the Dawadmi Educational Directorate also said it is ready for the exams.
In Bisha, some 40,000 students are preparing to take their exams across 450 intermediate and secondary schools, according to the Bisha Educational Directorate. Nayef Al-Hajeri, exam director for Bisha Educational Directorate, said that two male and two female supervising teams are on standby for the event.
