MADINAH: After Friday prayers, security forces arrested a man suspected to be a member of the Daesh terror organization. He was also involved in drugs, according to sources.
The man was arrested in a flat in Quba. As the flat was being raided, the man tried to jump out of the second-floor window and was chased through the neighborhood. He was caught and is now being interrogated. Two policemen were slightly injured.
This operation came three says after police in Madinah arrested three people suspected of belonging to Daesh, including the imam of a mosque of Arab origin.
Media sources said police succeeded in arresting two of the suspects in the Al-Salihiyah neighborhood, living in two flats next to each other. One was the imam in his 20s. Following his arrest, police found documents in his possession proving he belonged to Daesh.
The third suspect, in his 30s, lived in the Doweigha neighborhood and was arrested in a flat at the back of a well-known mall. Police found guns and grenades in his possession.
