A Turkish executive has allegedly fled the Kingdom with SR260 million that he was given to complete several villas for a Saudi company in Alkhobar and elsewhere in the Eastern Province.

According to a report in local media, the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution in the province is currently investigating the matter. The man had apparently been subcontracted by a company to complete the villas. In turn, he had asked several small contractors to carry out the work. These contractors filed a lawsuit against him because they claimed that they had not been paid for work done.

The expatriate was arrested and kept at a police station in the north of Alkhobar for four days in Ramadan. When investigators tried to contact him, they found that he had been bailed out and fled the country.
