A United Nations Development Program expert visited the Royal Commission in Yanbu on Sunday.

Craig Simmons, the expert was received by the acting Chief Executive of the Royal Commission in Yanbu Tawfiq bin Yousef Rashid.

The visit came in the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Commission in Yanbu, Dr. Alaa bin Abdullah Nassif recently at the Royal Commission head office in Riyadh, with a representative of the United Nations Development Program in Saudi Arabia with the aim of cooperation between the two sides in the areas of sustainable development and the protection and monitoring of the environment.

Craig Simmons discussed a number of important topics on mutual cooperation which revolves around taking benefits of the UNDP experts’ experience in the fields of environment and evaluation for the royal commission’s environmental regulations program.

Rashid said Simmons reviewed, evaluated and reassessed the Sustainable Development Report of the Royal Commission in Yanbu, and the awareness campaigns for various environmental issues on different occasions.

He said that they hope this visit will culminate in mutual cooperation and success in the work in the field.

Simmons’ visit and discussions were also attended by the director of the Protection and Control of the Environment at the Royal Commission, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Hajri, and the director of Public Relations, Salman bin Suleiman Al-Rashed.
