HAIL: Hail University has asserted that the maintenance systems applied inside the female students’ dormitory is the same as at the most universities in the Kingdom, with specific regulations in place to create an enabling and suitable environment for students.

These reactions came after several students complained about the treatment they receive from the supervisors at the dormitories, as well as complaints regarding the quality of the facilities.

In a press statement, the University said: “Concerning the allegations, which we deny, we would like to stress the fact that each dormitory is equipped with four TV screens, a computer laboratory and the main kitchen, in addition to the provision of tablets with cameras for the students in their private rooms, and without cameras for other places on the campus.”

The statement added that the dorm is connected to the Internet and has more than 22 desktop computers with full applications to facilitate students in their studies and research.

The university did not, however, deny that some individual mistakes happen on occasion, and has directed the relevant staff to form a committee to investigate the allegations contained in some tweets.

It added that in the event that any of the violations are proven to have occurred, they will be addressed and those involved held accountable.
