Jeddah health director Sami Badawood has ordered the closure of a naturopathic clinic for operating without a license.

“The main charge against the clinic is that it has been operating without a license,” said Tarek bin Abdul Aziz Banjar, director of private health affairs, adding that the clinic was engaged in activities that “cannot be described as naturopathic treatment.”

Banjar said his officials would continue to inspect private health facilities in the city to make sure they follow necessary rules and regulations. “Those who are found to be violating regulations will be punished,” he said.
