MAKKAH: A group of business and socially active women have succeeded in limiting many family problems and resolving them before they ended in divorce or moved to courts. Hoping not to let children become the victims of these problems, women sought to help the families solve their problems before they escalate.

Buthaina Al-Ameer, a member of Yusur Women's Center, which works under the supervision of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the center managed to offer more than 3,087 consultations, and organize more than 66 awareness and training courses, and have achieved over 60 sessions of reconciliation for disputing families.

Al-Ameer pointed out that the center was founded by a group of businesswomen and activists in the field of charity and good will In 1429H, and then came under the umbrella of the Chamber of Commerce in 1433H. The center also became a partner in the social partnership pact, which is an agreement between the Makkah governorate, the chamber and the association of neighborhood centers.

She also added that the center is looking forward to reaching greater levels in family consulting programs to help families live in safety and happiness.

Al-Ameer explained that work is also being carried out to develop the skills of Makkan families through training, and educating them on the best ways to having stable and secure family relations from an Islamic perspective. The center also helps in solving social, legal and Sharia problems to reduce the phenomenon of divorce and resolve problems before they escalate, as well as help eliminate domestic violence.
