JEDDAH: Saudi Arabian Society for Culture & Arts – Jeddah, with the cooperation of the Committee on Community Service, launched recently a leadership training workshop and program to encourage young people to consider a path that will enhance their ethics and moral compass.
Saudi personalities, including businessmen, artists, community figures and activists participated in the program and shared their stories of success to motivate and let the youth understand the importance of values and ethnic character for the success in life.
Retired Maj. Gen. Ali Al-Ghamdi, chairman of the Community Service Committee, said they selected for the program successful and distinctive community leaders. These individuals have experience that can be shared with the youth to open doors of success, he said. This is not possible, he said, without a distinctive behavior and moral values of religion and culture.
He also said it was important to host such programs to give the right direction to the younger generation in their path to a successful life and business.
Dr. Omar Al-Jasser, director of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture & Arts – Jeddah, said the youth must pay attention to moral values, chose their role models carefully if they want to be a successful and be a role model for society.
Al-Jasser also said the best examples always come from the home. Parents, he said, are the first role models for children. A family is a place where character is the establishment of tolerance and determination of success.
Al-Jasser also said Prince Khaled Al-Faisal is keen that the youth of Makkah become role models, whether artistic, cultural or social.
He stressed that education is the most important factor that increases the cohesion and strengthens any entity.
