JEDDAH: The Youth Development Department in Makkah recently organized a program in the holy city to promote moral values among the youth, spread awareness to achieve Vision 2030 and enhance self-confidence.

The program, entitled “The role of youth in achieving vision 2030,” was attended by more than 300 young Saudis. They learned how they can be a part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and fulfill their dream.

A visual presentation on Vision 2030 and speech by experts on the role of the youth in the development of the Kingdom were among the highlights of the event.

In a program held in association with the Al-Birr Charity Society in Jeddah, 125 families received food baskets for Ramadan in the Khumra area. The aim was to help the needy and create awareness in society on the importance of philanthropy.

More activities for the youth will be launched in Makkah, Taif and Jeddah this week. The events will focus on voluntary service, spreading culture, learning skills and establishing a database for those wishing to participate in the upcoming volunteer work in the province.

In Taif, the youth will also learn how to develop media skills in order to work in the media.

The aim of the activities is also to spread Islamic and personal values among the youth in all the provinces of the region and prepare more than 680 young men and women to organize events, plan, supervise and implement them, said an official.
