Saudi Business Machines Limited (SBM), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) services and solutions, has set up the internal network and linked it to the Information Center of a vital IT project at the Department of Justice. It was completed successfully within a record period of nine months.
This national electronic infrastructure project includes building an integrated information center that contains the latest technical equipment.
The project integrated computer network equipment for more than 400 sites of courts, public notaries and ministry branches; in which 230 branches have been linked with the Information Center and the Ministry of Justice.
Essam Al-Shiha, vice president of sales department at SBM, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Ministry of Justice in this huge project. We are proud to be part of this success, which will help to transfer transactions and work affairs efficiently and instantly through the Ministry of Justice. We also have used global expertise in this field such as Cisco, Schneider, APC Company and Juffali. “ He said SBM was looking forward to set up a community that uses information technology fluently for the purpose of adequate communication and for more efficient and fast data transfer. ”
The Information Center has recorded many achievements, including the implementation of the electronic network to link all courts, public notaries and the branches of the Ministry.
Also, the computer network has been implemented in more than 450 modern sites connected to the Information Center to make use of electronic services and Internet.
The high-tech project connects officials in Judicial Departments and protects the ministry from the IT security threats. It includes an integrated call center to respond to inquiries from citizens and technical support staff.
The project contains many electronic licenses.
The company also has installed video conference rooms across the Kingdom to enable the Ministry staff to hold remote meetings and trainings.
