Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, yesterday launched the Magelis Panel PC, the latest addition to its popular Magelis range of industrial PC, in Dubai. The portfolio's flexible design allows for adjusting components precisely to suit individual customer needs, while remaining certified for tough automation applications.
Designed specifically for the most demanding applications, the Magelis Panel PC range is attested by relevant certifications such as UL508 for automation products and ANSI/ISA 12.12.01 for hazardous locations. Maintenance-free models (without fan and rotating storage drive) are certified for marine applications.
Magelis Panel PC's temperature range, resistance to vibration and shocks, and IP 65 touch screen with LED backlight enable uninterrupted operation in difficult environments. Maintenance is facilitated with system monitoring of internal temperature, fan, and hard disk. The optional redundant RAID hard disk and battery back-up provide high data availability and security.

The Magelis Panel PC is based on Microsoft operating systems for ease of integration with IT infrastructure. The range offers large data storage management and dual gigabit Ethernetto separate data flow. In addition to ensuring easy connectivity to PC devices and IT systems, it comes with multi-tasking capabilities such as Human Machine Interface with Vijeo Designer and Intelligent Data Service applications, VijeoCitect SCADA, office applications, Internet browser and any user-installed software.
End-users can opt for the Windows operating system that is embedded and write-protected to avoid any abnormal modification or XP Pro.
