The Senators, coached by Tek Regidor, dealt a body blow on the Café boys courtesy of Jun Perez, Erwin Villafuerte, Edward Bautista, Jojo Custodio and Jayme Biala. They closed the initial period ahead at 21-16.
As the second quarter started, PappaRoti manager-coach Patara put John Howard Pantonia, brothers Raymond and Romelle Alcasabas, Jamil Akraman and John Paul Loreno in the rotation, resulting in a momentum shift and a 42-41 lead to the Café boys at the end of the period.
The score was 61 all at the end of the third period.
The final canto saw both teams play good defense with the Senators alternately supported by Ankie Angeles, Ben Ciabu, Richard Asay, Dru Vallejo and Louie Chang while Ariel Dayandante and Schubert Reposar starred for PappaRoti.
