JEDDAH: In Al Abeer International School Champions league match, Al Noor International School scored a comfortable 3-0 win over Mahd Al Uloom International School.

Saif Dilair, Yassir and Sultan were scorers. Saif Dilair was adjudged man of the match and trophy was awarded by Rafeeq Mullah of MIS.

B division match witnessed switch of fortunes for Teckno-paint United Sports Club A and Rehab F.C. Yanbu. Yanbu keeper, Mohammed Shafi who displayed brilliant keeping in last 2 matches kept his class in this game too. In 22nd minute a beautiful shot by United Sport’s Naushad hit the top left corner of the goal, punched by Yanbu’s keeper Mohammed Shafi with a full length diver but the ball was headed by Jasil to the post 1-0.

After this goal Yanbu was demoralized, but their coach’s experiment in second half to field Mohammed Yunus changed the game and fortune of Yanbu as he scored within 3 minutes. Vigorous Naushad Ali fed the ball to speedy Yunus who defeated United Sports keeper Mohammed Shafeeq 1-1.

Yanbu dominated the second half as Rashin compensated for his early misses by scoring from a move by striker Yunus and playmaker Thahir from middle 1-2. Substitute Mohammed Yunus, who changed the game for his team’s favor with a goal and an assist, was man of the match. He received trophy from K.C. Abdurahman.

A division tournament started with a bang and the most awaited game was a real soccer feast for packed spectators. Star studded teams Sharafia Trading Al Zabin F.C and ACC F.C . B match was with full of tempo and pace. Scoreline was 1-1. ACC started well, attacking from very first minute, with excellent ball play and most of their moves came from left wing back Hyder. A well stitched move of ACC from behind, Rafeeq beautifully gave through pass to dangerous Emad Naser but vigilant Al Zabin keeper Abdul Salam cleared the ball. Al Zubin defense had hard time to mark gallery’s favorite Emad Naser, who did superb display of skill and ball control. For Al Zabin, State player Ashik Usman and SBT’s Martin John tried their best to break ACC defense line but couldn’t do much in first half as ACC had clear edge in attack and substitute Khalid Naser tightly marked Martin.

In second half, ACC took lead with a goal in a show of football skill and speed. Overlapping left defender Hyder Ali passed the ball to Emad Naser, who from middle of the field dribbled through AlZabin defense beating two defenders and goalkeeper Abdul Salam and placing the ball to the net 1-0. Next minute, another attempt by Emad just missed target. Game became rough as referee has to take yellow card frequently. But the change of tactics to mark Emad shifted the game in Al Zabin’s favor. AlZabin’s Ashiq Usman rose to unstoppable form in second half and ACC defense smelled danger every minute. ACC keeper Subair saved almost two sure goals, one from Shanavas and again a powerful shot from Ashiq Usman. But receiving a pass from Siraj, Ashiq Usman crossed ACC defense and with a twisted shot defeated ACC keeper Subair 1-1 to share valuable point. V.M. Ibrahim handed over man of the match trophy to Ashiq Usman.
