Attaullah’s brilliant 128 runs helped MHA rout IBS by 85 runs during the fourth week of the Jotun Cricket League organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.

In another matches, Butt Sports got the better of Al-Ghudaid by 7 wickets while Dessert Warriors triumphed over Al-Barooj by 5 wickets.

Al Ghudaid batted first were bowled out for 102 with none of the batsmen able to face the tight bowling of Junaid 4 for 20, Tariq 3 for 17 and Abdul Rahman 2 for 16. In reply Butt Sports lost 2 quick wickets but Jameel (27) and Umar (30 not out) saw them through with a 7-wicket win. Osama took for 27 runs.

In the other match, Al Barooj scored 181 runs off their allotted overs. Arif (39) Hashmi and Tahir (74) provided an opening wicket stand of 90 runs.

Abdul Quddus claimed 4 for 35 and Kumar had 2 for 20. In reply Desert Warriors reached their target of 182 for the loss of 5 wickets. Masiullah (53) while Razi Aziz (53) put 102 runs to take their team home in style. Rizwan and Hamid had identical figures of 2 for 25 each.

MHA posted a mammoth 248 runs. Attaullah played a scintillating knock of 128 of only 46 balls as he flogged the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He was ably supported by Ali made 32 runs. Qaisar 5 for 35 and Shad 2 for 16 were the main wicket-takers.

In reply IBS were bundle out for 163. Ali (37) and Qaisar (36) doing bulk of the scoring. Khalid made 19. After his fine performance with the bat Attaullah later dazzled with the ball as he took 3 for 21. Amir and Noor Alam took 2 wickets each for 16 and 25 respectively to give their team victory by 85 runs.
