CALGARY, Alberta: Ben Bishop made 19 saves in his fourth shutout of the season, sending the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-0 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday night.

Rookie forward Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov scored for the Lightning, who have gone 7-1-1 in their last nine games to move within two points of first-place Boston in the Atlantic Division.

Calgary ended its five-game homestand with four straight losses in regulation. Since the Christmas break, the Flames have one goal — by rookie Sean Monahan — in the last 245 minutes, 5 seconds.

The Flames got defenseman Dennis Wideman back after he missed 16 games with a broken hand. But even with his presence on the power play, Calgary went 0 for 5 with the man advantage.

Ducks 5, Oilers 2: Defenseman Ben Lovejoy scored two goals and goaltender Jonas Hiller stopped 16 shots as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-2.

Anaheim (30-8-5) remained atop the NHL’s Pacific Division with the victory and stayed undefeated in regulation through 18 home games.

Hiller extended a franchise record with his 10th consecutive win while Lovejoy set a Ducks’ record for the fastest two goals by a defenseman by scoring 2:33 apart in the first period.

Edmonton (13-26-5) was led with goals by center Boyd Gordon and winger Nail Yakupov but dropped its fourth in a row and lost for the 10th time in the last 12 games.

Blackhawks 5, Devils 3: Right winger Patrick Sharp recorded a hat trick as the Chicago Blackhawks held off the New Jersey Devils 5-3.

The Blackhawks pushed their lead to 4-1 with three quick goals early in the third period, but defenseman Marek Zidlicky answered with two goals of his own to give the Devils a chance in the final six minutes.

Sharp’s goal with 1:28 remaining, his 25th of the season, put the game away.

Left winger Brandon Saad and right winger Marian Hossa added goals for the Blackhawks, who lead the NHL with 28-7-8 mark and 64 points.

Penguins 5, Rangers 2: Jussi Jokinen continues to help make the Penguins contenders this season as his two goals helped Pittsburgh beat the New York Rangers 5-2.

The Penguins (30-12-1) look like Stanley Cup contenders again as they lead the Eastern Conference with 61 points. Jokinen, a second-line winger, is helping the cause with 11 goals.

Left winger Chris Kunitz also scored a pair of goals for the Penguins and center Sidney Crosby added one. They are tied for the team lead with 23 goals each.

Crosby also had two assists and has tallied 10 goals and 16 assists in the last 14 games.

Goaltender Marc-Andrew Fleury turned aside 33 shots as the Penguins won their 11th straight home game and improved to 18-3-0 at the Consol Energy Center this season.

The Rangers are 20-20-2.
