D’ Barkads rose above everyone else on a night when none breached 30 points barrier to win Team of the Week honors during the seventh session in the Thursday League 12th Conference for Mobily Cup at the Bowling City in Sultanah Center here.

The champion team in the conference before last, D’ Barkads pooled the top tally of 29 points.

Despite their modest total D’ Barkads managed to topple league-leading Alliance in Motion Global, formerly Bowling City, at first place in the team standings as the newly named team seemed out of sorts and finished dead-last on 6.5.

Jeddah 5KKB gave D’ Barkads a good fight for honors but had to settle for second on 28 points. Al Kabeer Frozen Foods was third on 26 followed by Habagat 22.5, Advance Co. 21 and Bulacan Knight.

Lifebuoy and Al Murjana shared the last three spots with Alliance on 16 and 13.5 respectively.

Edwin Ronquillo gave Lifebuoy some consolation when he claimed the Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 627 on scratch games of 187, 226 and 214.

D’ Barkads ended the three games just the way they started— on top, as the duo of Rey Beltran and Romy Bunagan set the pace on 585 and 567. Rudy Valenzuela at 564 was the other player to complete three-game series on 564. Contributing two games each were Leo Edejr 191-162, Dan Ednave 182-192 and Bing Amolo 227-218.

Bonnie Garcia was among the few to pass 600 on 603 in leading the 5KKB. Supporting Ednave was the trio of Mike Protacio 583, Jack Jarin 573 and Doods Versoza 564. Cesar Monares added 213-221 and Ally Bin 176 to round out the 5KKB scoring.

Over at Al Kabeer Mohd Al Amri posted the top score of 601 with Bandar Dosarry, Paolo Allego and Igna Salgado hitting 585, 584 and 544 in that order. Gerry Mandanas chipped in a valuable pair of 194s.

Habagat produced two players breaking 600 in Ver Jasa and Med Ramos with 609 and 608 while Advance likewise had two in Sham Musstafa 618 and Tommy Kamal 602.
