RIYADH: Before the peak of summer sets in Dirab Golf & Country Club is looking to make as many events as possible for the benefit of its members. On Saturday, the 2nd Annual DHL Open Texas Scramble Golf Tournament 2016 takes place.

The tournament, a 2-ball Texas Scramble format competition with a 7 a.m. shotgun start, is open for all individual members, corporate members and guests.

A full field of 120 players is vying for prizes scaled down to the fifth place for the winners. Also, to be awarded are skill prizes for men’s and ladies longest drive and closest to the pin unizex.

All participants will receive good bags that contain GNM polo shirts and caps, a sleeve of Titleist ProVI balls and golf towels courtesy of sponsor DHL.

The Dirab Golf & Country Club would like to express its thanks and appreciation to DHL Country General Manager Faysal El Hejjami and Omar Hariri, VP Sales, for helping facilitate sponsorship of the tournament that is sure to contribute to the promotion of golf in Saudi Arabia.

This is the second straight year DHL has committed to be title sponsor of this tournament.
