Defending champion Four Seasons Hotel cricket team overcame the strong challenge from Tuan Lukman’s Novotel to win by 5 wickets in the opening match of the 15th Annual Riyadh Inter-Hotels Cricket tournament here.

Hosted by Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers through GM Paul C. Dunphy and supported by all GM’s from eight participating hotels namely Al Khozama, Courtyard Marriott, Four Seasons, Intercontinental Riyadh, Makarim Riyadh, Novotel Riyadh, Ritz Carlton and Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers, the tournament is being held for the benefit of the Children of UNICEF.

Novotel won the toss and opted to bat. It tallied 88 runs and was all out in 13 overs. Only Tuan Farsan made 19 with 4 fours bowled by Basharat Ahmed and Faisal Sinda got 18 with 1 six and 1 four bowled by Abdul Fattah Obaid.

In reply, Four Seasons managed 93 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 14 overs. Wagas Naem recorded 27 runs with 2 sixes and 3 fours before Captain Tuan Luckman catches the ball.

Four Seasons bowler Abdul Fattah Obaid claimed a hat trick plus to become the Man of the Match.
