JEDDAH: Islamic Development Bank, GBEST (IT) scored a comfortable 36-run win over Islamic Development Bank, Finance in the final of the Intra Bank Cricket Tournament sponsored by GBEST and organized by the Social and Cultural Forum (SOCOM) at the bank’s Green Lawn ground here.

GBEST, which won the toss and decided to bat, put up a decent total of 119 runs from the stipulated 12 overs. Irfan gave his team a flying start with a fine innings of 49 runs. Irfan got good support from Mudassir (22), Muzamil (12) and Misbah (10).

Captain Zaid Omar, Abdul Roung Janjonia, Azam and Hamza Hashim bagged a wicket each for the bowling side.

In reply, IDB-Finance failed to make a fight of it and collapsed for 83 runs. Shahzad Janjowa top-scored with 28 runs followed by Hamza Hashim’s 19.

Muzamil did most of the damage as he took 4 wickets. Misbah 3, Emaduddin 2, and Fahad 1 were the other wicket takers.

Man-of-the-Matches for both semis were given to: Muzammil Riyaz, Misbah and Mansoor Ahmed.

Man-of-the-Final: Irfan (GBEST).

Man-of-the-Series: Shahzad Janjowa.

Best Batsman: Mohammed Shoib.

Syed Asim Reza, Syed Saleem Quadri, Syed Mohd. Javid, Syed Abdallah Shah and Mohammed Yousufuddin were honored by the management with trophies for making the tournament a grand success.
