JEDDAH: GNP Hospital-Al Asnan Est. of coach Ronnie Carino edged Al Salam Hospital 124-122 for the 1st Mandoubiyah – PEAK championship at Khalidia basketball court here.

GNP Hospital – Al Asnan came back from behind to solve Al Salam’s running game in the final quarter. Salam Hospital missed the important free throws to tie and extend the game into overtime. Carino and Ofianza each scored 26 points for GNP Hospital – Al Asnan Est. and were adjudged as the PEAK Sodas Sports best players of the game while Malabanan top-scored with 31 points for Al Salam Hospital Hospital.

Al Hayat Hospital of coach Rey Maddatu beat Bakhs Hospital 101-82 to claim third place. Al Hayat played with young players in the whole game using man-to-man defense and run-and-gun offense.

Baksh Hospital tried to tightened its defense but then lost steam in the fourth quarter. Acosta and Joson had 22 points apiece for Al Hayat Hospital and were adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Soliba chipped in 15 points for Bakhs Hospital.

Shiekh Mohammed, Shiekh Faiz, Ustad Ali Lumanog and Baba Ahmed Peradilla of Mandoubiyah Islamic Center Northwest Jeddah presided the awarding ceremony.
