JEDDAH: Habagat took its turn to make some noise with Team of the Week award-winning display during the 6th session in the Thursday League 16th Season for Sarawat Superstores Cup at the Bowling City here.
On this night Habagat was far and away the best outfit, carding the top tally of 32 points with D’ Barkads a distant second on 26.
Despite missing team honors D’ Barkads could not complain after it took over No. 1 in the team standings from Casadores who slid to third place on 19.5 points on the night right behind Al Kabeer Frozen Foods 26 points.
Al Murjana tallied 18 points with Salam Rice a point behind on 17. Jem Striker, Sarawat Superstores and AL Striker were the last three teams to check in on 14.5, 14 and 13 points.
AL Striker’s Cesar Monares shot the high series of 701 on lines of 231, 244, 214 to become the Bowler of the Week ahead of Casadores’ Nezar Al Hamwe 698 and Habagat’s Rommel Cagampang 677.
Habagat, the 13th Season champion, never looked back after winning the second game from Al Kabeer, as Ryan Conde and George Mangaliman backed up Cagampang on 631 and 611.
Wilson Triguero was another solid Habagat player on 602, while Jimmy Aragones shot 202-201 and Edu Toledo added 198.
D’ Barkads had four players crossing the 600 series in Bing Amolo 653, Rudy Valenzuela 657, Dan Ednave 642 and Leo Edejer 628. The other scorers were Romy Bunagan 167-187 and Joel Nidoy 210.
Bandar Al Dosary was the top scorer at Al Kabeer on 664 followed by Rally Zamora 642 and Rommel Agbayani 621. Sharing two games each were Jowett Carrion 225-199, Jhune Estefano 167-190 and Nanding Siasoco 194-165.

Meantime, the FTBJ-ICBL 36th Conference is suspended to give way to the FTBJ Monthly Final which takes place Friday afternoon, according to organizers.
