JEDDAH: The Jeddah Premier League Season-9 for Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi Cup 2016 started in glittering launching ceremony recently at Hala Cricket Academy grounds here.

The first week matches had 32 out of 50 teams entered seeing action in 16 league matches in morning & afternoon sessions.

This event is supported by Dream India Group, a very famous real estate development company from Hyderabad India, Mumtaz Group of Company’s Mumtaz Sports Academy and Al Wafaq Al Shaheqa Group for plumbing materials, the official sponsors for the Asaduddin Owaisi Cup. Hala Cricket Academy, B-Cola, Halwani Brothers, Khind Electronics & Kako are the co-sponsors of the event organized by JPL under the umbrella of Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).

Summary of first week 8 matches morning session:

First match: Gulbarga Cricket Club made 58-9 in 15 overs. In reply Azizia Deccan reached their target 62-1 in just 4.1 overs and won the match by 9 wickets. Mubeen was Man of the Match for his 3-4. Match-2: Empower C.C. made 102-6 in 15 overs against Super Stars C.C. In reply the Super Stars could only reach to 98-8 and lost the match by 4 runs. Roshan of Empower man of the match for his 3-25. Match-3: Jeddah Strikers scored 86 against Arabian XI. In reply Arabian-Xl scored 88-2 and won the match by 8 wickets. Amir 36 runs man of the match. Match-4: Jeddah Jaguars 106-8 against Rising Stars. Rising Stars 82-8 and lost the match by 24 runs. Ahmed 27 was man of the match. Match-5 Al: Amri Cricket Club 175-5 against Deccan Youth Rangers. In reply Deccan Youth Rangers 99 all out, lost the match by 76 runs, and man of the match was Sattar 93 runs in just 47 deliveries and 3-22. In Match-6: Kings-Xl Hyderabad 153-4 against MIM Brigade. MIM Brigade 87-8. Kings-Xl Hyderabad won the match by 66 runs. Man of the match Ghulam 55 runs. In Match-7: Barik Arabian Trading Services (ATS) against IOE Cricketer Club; ATS scored 117-6. In reply IOE Cricketer Club 118-5 and won the match by 5 wickets. Man of the match Tabrez for his 42 runs. Match-8: Elite CC 80- against Azizia-Xl.
