Lifebuoy bowling team made an impressive start to the Thursday League 12th Conference for Mobily Cup, winning a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double at the Bowling City in Sultanah Center here.

Buoyed by a strong start, Lifebuoy went on to post the top tally of 31.5 points, well in front of the session’s No. 2 Advance Co. which returned 27 points.

Host Bowling City followed on 25.5, with Jeddah 5KKB on 22, Al Kabeer 20 and D’ Barkads 16.

Habagat, Al Murjana and Bulacan Knight occupied the last three spots on 15.5, 14.5 and 8 points in that order.

Tom Langa completed a Lifebuoy double when he shot the high series of 668 to become the Bowler of the Week on lines of 207, 203 and 210.

Managed by Ahmed Babatin, Lifebuoy also drew strong games from Jim Mandigiado 622 and Reggie Mendoza 591.

Lifebuoy was on the way after winning the first game and tying with Bowling City for first place in the second, as it got further help from Edwin Ronquillo 563, Jimmy Urbano 227-295 and Simon 171.

Rene Punzalan was among those to enjoy 600-series outputs on 654 while at the helm of Advance Co. Engineers. Sham and Danny Bautista came through with 618 and 606 while Dylan Ilagan added 570, Pancho Cuevas had 206-172 and Joel Nidoy made 177.

The trio of Archie Santos, Ruben Grino and Yousuf Al Juhani carried the load for Bowling City with rounds of 614, 597 and 583. Veteran Cris Villavelez was the other player to do full games for Bowling City on 526 while Sami Al Qarni compiled 226-202 and Frank Afurong 223.

Over at Jeddah 5KKB, Doods Versoza came up with the top score of 642 to go with a pair of 586s from Mike Protacio and Ally Bin, 192-179 from Cesar Monares, 194-210 from Bonnie Garcia and 129-222 from Jack Jarin.

Jay-R De Dios and Jowett Carrion took charge at Igna Salgado’s Al Kabeer on 649 and 608. The other scorers were Gerry Mandanas 570, Paolo Allego 544, Mohd. Amri 192-213 and Bandr Al Dossary 177.
