The stage is set for the semifinals in the 27TH Annual Riyadh Inter-Hotels Basketball Tournament Inter-Continental Riyadh Hotel securing the last semifinal berth by crushing Four Points 74-59 at the Inter-Continental court here.

Along with Riyadh Marriott, Inter-Con joined Sheraton and Al Faisaliah Hotel into the semifinals in the tournament for the benefit of the children of UNICEF.

Faisaliah sealed the second spot by beating Novotel 93-55.

Riyadh Marriott lost to Kempenski 72-59 but in the resolution of a three-way tie between Marriott, Inter-Con and Ritz Carlton at 4-3 for the last two berths Ritz Carlton, a 72-63 winner over Kempenski, was left out having been beaten by both Marriott and InterCon.

The semifinals, another round robin format, start Friday with Al Faisaliah taking on InterCon at 7 p.m. and Sheraton-Marriott at 9 p.m. Monday games pit Faisaliah vs. Marriott at 7 p.m. and Sheraton vs. InterCon at 9 p.m. On Wednesday, it will be Marriott against InterCon at 7 p.m. and Sheraton against Faisaliah at 9 p.m.
