Winning in one of his slowest times for several seasons, Thierry Mathy was at a loss to explain the reason why.

The day dawned bright and cool and was considered to be perfect for time trialling by the large field, whose total average speed was one of the fastest ever recorded in Riyadh with the top 5 riders all posting +40kph rides.

The event was the Riyadh Wheelers 10-mile time trial held on a course which might not be used for much longer due to the poor road surface. In second place and back to his best was senior rider Jiri Kuba, who after the timing mishap during the 2-day event, was determined to set the record straight.

With older riders dominating the top of the field, third place went to in-form Kris Ahlin from Steve Jenkins, who put in one of his best performances to date. The next 5 places went to the younger riders, led in by Alex Carinan from Geron Guanlao, Brett Girven, Clemens von Scwarczinsky and Raul Minarro.

Outstanding rides were put in by Dave Wright who posted a time consistent with his potential and Greg Donaghey, who in only his first year with the Wheelers is beginning to show his mark.

In the race for CAT B honors, Maria Araujo netted some useful points and Pascal Kuba went un-challenged in the Junior event. Results:
