RIYADH: Mehran claimed the Static Zone Super League Twenty20 cricket title when they routed Pakhtoon Khawah by 72 runs in the final organized by the Riyadh Cricket League, here.

The Premier League-I crown went to National Cricket Club who ousted Riyadh Blues by 78 runs while in the Premier League-II final Shaheen routed Riyadh Pirates by 120 runs. All the three finals were one-sided affairs.

In the Super League final, Pakhtoon won the toss and put in Mehran to bat. However, Mehran took advantage and put up a fighting total of 223 runs. Ibrahim scored a magnificent 77 runs. Not far behind was Fahim Abbas Shah who stroked a well made 69 runs. Alam later propped up the innings with 33 runs. Khalid, Arshad and Farooq claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply Pakhtoon buckled under pressure and managed 151 in the stipulated overs. Haroon (44) and Khalid (36) were the main scorers. Fakhar claimed 3 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Ibrahim.

In the League-I final, National made first use of the track and put on board 175 runs. Syed Azeem (38), Nadeem (31), Samad (30) and Ijaz (27) did their best. Shakeel F impressed with his bowling and bagged 3 wickets while Shakeel S got 2.

In reply Riyadh Blues managed only 97 runs. Shakeel scored 19 runs. Azeem got 2 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Syed Azeem.

In the League-II final, Shaheen put up 227 runs. Thanks to Naeem (82), Nabeel Mudassir (54) and Farooq (30). Asim claimed 3 wickets while Riaz got 2. In reply, Riyadh Pirates failed in their chase and were bowled out for 107 runs. Saleem (28) and Usama (29) put up some resistance while all the other batsmen failed to counter the rival bowlers. Rana took 4 wickets supported by Rashed’s 3.

Man-of-the-Match: Naeem.

In the semifinals, Pakhtoon beat Game Pro and Mehran ousted Mughal, In the league-I Riyadh Blues beat Sager CC while National got the better of Samarwa and in the League-II Shaheen beat Al-Fateh while Riyadh Pirates routed Flynas.

The prize distribution ceremony, held at the RCL Cricket Complex at Al-Kharj Road, was attended by RCL members, guests and prominent personalities.

RCL President, Mamoor Elahi, thanked the sponsors for their support, teams for their discipline and members for their untiring efforts in making this tourney a success. Elahi assured the team of better arrangement and facilities during the next season.
