JEDDAH: Midget Grey of coach Ali Gaspar and asst. coach Alex Musngi beat Blue Team 64-55 in the Fame-Gensoul Basketball Tournament Season 3.

It was an important win for the Grey Team with the elimination round near to end. Alexander Adam Romualdo top-scored with 28 points for the Grey Team and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Aldrin Joe Francisco scored 31 points for the Blue.

Fame-Gensoul Basketball Tournament is under the leadership of coach Sam Sabangan, Joel Silvestre, Edwin Gonzales (tournament commissioner), Nak Santiago, Andy Eslabon and Vicky Navarro.

Juniors Violet of coach Henry Alipante defeated Grey Team 75-72. Violet executed its last offense according to the game plan. Grey tried hard to even the game but missed its shot. Benjamin Joseph Virtucio had 26 points for the Violet team and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Prince Del Rosario led the Grey Team with 35 big points.

Seniors Yellow beat Blue Team 88-79. Jayson Ricamara scored 32 points for the Yellow Team and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Angel Palaypayon top score with 33 points for the Blue Team.

Midget Orange of coach Glen Musngi and asst. coach Alex Roca defeated Black Team 59-49. Michael Maddatu chipped in 42 points for the Orange Team and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Justin Durante had 26 points for the Black Team.

In Friday matches, Gensoul All Star games begins with Midget Eagle beat Midget Lion 66-65. Midget Eagle displayed heart in the dying seconds with Midget Lion in their tough defense. Justin Durante scored 18 points for the Eagle and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Marky Dianalan led the Lion with 28 points.

Junior Lion defeated Junior Eagle 88-61 in the next game to even the score. Gerry Acosta top score with 27 points for the Lion and was adjudged as the best player of the game while Rayman Mamak had 9 points for the Eagles.

Senior Lions beat Senior Eagle 87-86. Lions went to the open man for their last offensive play, the plan paid well as they managed to connect their last jumper as the final buzzer had sounded. Hector Alcala scored 22 points for the Lions while Samuel Sabangan Jr. led the Eagle with 15 points.
