Minions Team and Rodel Maranca excelled to bag the Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week awards respectively during the 9th session in the Alyoum-FBGR Tuesday Bowling League 12th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center.

Alyoum sponsored the league organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).

Minions mentored by Dong Yamco blanked Dabarkads captained by Charlie Cheng 4-0 (19-4 points). Dee Urbano led the Minions charge by scoring 845 points, with support from Jao Urbano 785, Koko Torres 698 and Shawn Ricketts 689. Yamco added 381 and Romy Repia 333. Donjie Mapalad led Dabarkads on 698, Glenn Dela Cruz had 695, Ramil Glorioso 691, Obet Miranda 685 and Ruel Pingol 668.

UBC Family, mentored by Lulu Quejada, upset current No.1 T3S Warriors of Nelson De Vera 14-9. Lefthander Maranca made UBC’s win all the sweeter when he claimed the individual award. Abdullah Amoudi added 781, MS 822 and Dennis Gabriel 705 to the UBC scoresheet, while Bembol Velasco made 342 and Yasser Aburaish 329. Edgar Buenaventura led T3S on 758 with Joel Lambo on 737, Mike Ecalnir 690, Arnold Jesena 687, Nelson De Vera 379 and Maeng Viloria 330.

UFTBR mentored by Armin Isles demolished Alyoum captained by Jun Daniel 19-13. The scorers were Stephen Solomon 807, Irene Pua 804, Fernie Ballano 775, Rey Bautista 766 and Art Palustre 742. Fhel Ramos tossed in 834 for Alyoum that also got contributions from Alex Armada 758, Doy Del Moral 750, Joel Batolina 744, Beth Danganan 409 and Daniel 337.

In another match, defending champion Tsamba Bowlers guided by Abdulrahman Ahmed edged EPO-L of Lope Ramirez 16-13. Jobert Pomado lead their team by scoring 839 followed by Adbulrahman Ahmed 811, Gerry Damiray 768, Zaldy Torres 695 and Ely Fanugao 688. For the losing team Ed Untalan tallied 822, Atoi Ramos 785, Jove Marano 718 and Lope Ramirez 712.

In other matches, Die Hard 5 of Ric Urrutia beat Almarai CPP of Tony Barcoma 16-6, Breakers of Shakur Kamlian edged IBG Storm of Ric Singson 12-10 and Enigma Strikers of Armin Bandar Al-Marshad downed TGIT Genesis of Rollie Cleofe 19-10
