JEDDAH: League-leading Al Murjana handled it better compared to the rest of the teams to become Team of the Week in a low-scoring 12th session in the Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season.

Murjana returned the top tally of 29 points, as none crossed the 30 points mark owing to the tough scoring conditions at Bowling City in Sultanah Center.

RJ Tumbador, still in search of a Team of the Week victory, checked in two points back on 27 with BCT-Hokbi Fashion on 24 points.

Sawary Energy and D’ Barkads tied on 23 points, while Habagat, AL Striker and Carling Sport Wear compiled 19, 16 and 15 points in that order.

Ding Dela Rosa of BCT-Hokbi was the session’s top individual performer to romp off with the Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 678 on lines of 218, 233 and 203.

Murjana finished strong to win the third game and overall output that negated a so-so second game where it wound up sixth for a mere 4 points.

Four players went the distance for Murjana, led by Archie Santos on 654. Jay Bengco came through with 629 while Jojie Manalansan and Elo Manalo added 568 and 531 respectively. Sharing the remaining team games were Ruel Santoc 238-207 and Rene Ocampo 201.

Pancho Cuevas shot the second-best score of the night, a 669 (216, 192 and 237), while at the helm of the Tumbador charge that contained 589 from Dylan Ilagan, 561 from Rommel Agbayani, 560 from Joel Nidoy, 206-221 from Rey Feliciano and 173 from Tommy Kamal.

Paul Antiporda complemented Dela Rosa’s effort at BCT-Hokbi with 601 that went with the 549 by Nanding Siasoco, 533 by Nezar Al Hamwi, 235-176 by Rally Zamora and 226 by Rey Beltran.

Sawary Energy, which shared honors with Murjana the week before last, had Bash Langa on 619 and the pair of Jimmy Urbano and Alex Flora matching cards of 609. Ric Nangel was the fourth player with three-game series on 508 while Edwin Ronquillo made 246-200 and Jess Pineda 185.

For D’ Barkads, the leading scorers were Dan Ednave 620, Leo Edejer 614 and Bing Amolo 598.
