For the second time in three weeks, 36 had looked set to fall and yet the perfect score eluded another team this time Al Murjana during the sixth week in the Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season at the Bowling City in Sultanah Center.

Murjana was a point shy on 35 duplicating the feat of Habagat on the fourth week. But it was a fruitful session for Murjana nonetheless as it clinched Team of the Week honors while reclaiming the lead in this five-man team Thursday league event.

Unilever Arabia, which denied Murjana what would have been the first perfect 36 in the tournament by beating them by 4 pins for the first-place points of 9 in the second game, was the second-best team of the night with 32 points.

BCT-Hokbi Fashion had another decent showing by an underdog team when it tallied 24 points in third place on the night with Habagat and Magnolia Ice Cream on 23 and 21 points respectively.

Carling Sport Wear polled 15.5 points, AL Striker had 13.5, D’ Barkads returned 12 points and RJ Tumbador brought up the rear on 4 points.

To Reggie Mendoza of Unilever went the Bowler of the Week award after he rolled the high series of 653 on lines of 218, 205 and 191.

The trio of Archie Santos, Jay Bengco and Jojie Manalansan went full games to take charge at Murjana on 599, 582 and 558 in that order.

Ruel Santoc hit a pair of 235s in a solid showing for Murjana with team manager Rene Ocampo on 204-160 and Thong Langa on 186-213.

Jimmy Urbano was the other player to shine at Unilever besides Mendoza on 603, while Jun Pamintuan added 587, Alex Flora posted 187-172, Bash Langa returend 169-170 and Jess Pineda made 218-205.

Over at BCT-Hokbi Rey Beltran carded the top score of 602 to go with the 570 by Nezar Al Hamwi, 555 by Yasser Hokbi, 203-189 by Rally Zamora, 204-161 by Paul Antiporda and 168-207 by Nanding Siasoco.

Rommel Cagampang led Habagat, which lost first place in the tam standings to Murjana, on 633 followed by Edu Toledo 589, Manny Tibay 563 and Richard Antonio 535. The other scorers were Jimmy Aragones 170-183 and Geo Mangaliman 196.
