JEDDAH: The 11TH Filsama Conference for 1st Orient Watch Cup entered its third weekend with its action packed games at Star Clubs Gymnasium in Faisaliyah District here.

In the Above 40 Division, New Cabalen Restaurant-Friendster defeated B.M.G. team by 5 points 100-95. It was a neck and neck matchup but in the end the more experienced Cabalen prevailed. Leading scorers for Cabalen were Jameel Khobre 26 points, Chris Melebo 25 and Jojo Castillo 14 points, while for BMG Nanding Unas led the way with 25 points followed by Aladin Pinagayao 24, Teddy Jamahali 20 and Kome Ibrahim 15.

In another Above 40 game, Airnet SUME brought down Rabea Tea 96-82. The veteran Ronnie Mamalumpong led Airnet with 27 big points Dindo Dela Cruz added 18 and Toto Tobeo 17. Named Best Player of the game was Bonnie “Bang Bang” Lidasan who finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals to lead Airnet to its first win. Rabea Tea had Yusoph Uy at the helm on 21 points with Callaueng on 19 and Alde 12.

The final match in the Above 40 had PhilCon E-Life Generals beating Panino’s team by 7 pts 89-82. ThePhilCon Generals got the win behind a running game and dominance in the shaded area. E-Life leading scorers were Daudi 24 points, Soliveres 20, J. Batuhan 13 and J. Dimalig 12. For Panino’s Geniza scored 26 points, Roxas had 22 M. Diaz 14.

In the Non rated Division, Wasalak blasted Jacob team by 18 points 106-88. Wasalak used veteran moves and experience against the overmatched Jacob. Khursit Ismael showed the way for Wasalak on 28 points. Cabalu tallied 27, Atienza 17 and Navarro 13. New entrant Jacob was led by Eric Mabarit with22 points. Omar contributed 16 points and Leslie 15.

Elsewhere in the Non Rated Division, Pinky’z cupcake and coffee overpowered Sharbatly 113-77 and Dabarkads won their second straight game beating Jacob 87-83.

Pinky’z was in control all game long and with bodacious defense forced Sharbatly to commit multiple errors that the former converted to points.

The Pinky’z quartet of Asmad, Distreza, Arciaga and Diego Domalogdog scored 24, 20, 18 and 17 points in that order.

Ricasa enjoyed another big game for Dabarkads to score 40 points. Romero added 19 points and Adonis 13 for Dabarkads.

In the week’s Open B Reinforced Division New Cabalen Restaurant Friendster turned back a fighting Slammers squad 82-73.

Slammers whittled down what was once a 15-point Cabalen lead to five at 74-69 before two unanswered baskets and a maze of turnovers took the pressure off Melebo’s team.

Nafiza Jr. top-scored with 24 points for Cabalen, Amparado and Tom Basa each added 15 and Dangao had 11 markers. Slammers leading scorers were De Mesa 19, and Mark Elamparo and Nobleza with 15 apiece.
