JEDDAH: Pak Young, Al Burj and Sindh XI recorded contrasting wins against Jamoom Fighters (by 17 runs), Khulais (by 134 runs) and Kashmir XI (by 48 runs) respectively in the 10th week of Kanoo Premier League matches.

The league is sponsored & supported by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group for the 22nd year and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).

Pak Young vs. Jamoom Fighters: Pak Young 188 for 4 in 20 overs. Noor Alam 33 off 17 balls (2 fours, 3 sixes) and Yousuf 43 off 26 balls (9 fours) gave a good start which was later capitalized by Zakir 42 (2 fours, 3 sixes) and Niaz (22) both of whom remained unbeaten. Umar, Adnan and Waseem picked up a wicket each. In reply, Jamoom Fighters fought till the end but eventually fell short by 17 runs as they ended up at 171 for 8 with Usman fighting a lone battle remaining unbeaten with 88 of 42 balls inclusive of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Fayyaz 2 for 28 Ismail 2 for 26 and Yousuf 2 for 17 bowled fine in tandem to give Pak Young a 17 runs win.

Al Burj vs. Khulais XI: Al Burj amassed 219 for 5 in 20 overs and later bundled out Khulais for only 85 to emerge victorious by 134 runs. For Al Burj Usman scored a quick 56 of 27 balls (8 fours and a six) while Kamran Khan with an unbeaten 55 of 30 balls (9 fours and a six) and Abdul Wahab 33 with an unbeaten propped up the middle order. Nadir, Sajjad and Omar picked up a wicket each. For Khulais Adil fought a lone battle scoring 30 while Siddique outsmarted them taking 4 for 15 and was supported by Awais with 2 for 25.

Sindh X1 vs. Kashmir X1: Sindh XI scored 198 for 6 in 20 overs with Sulaiman scoring an aggressive 54 of 27 balls (8 fours, 1 six) while Shakeel pitched in with 36 of 19 balls (6 fours) and received good support from Mohsin (20) and Humayun (24). Owais took 3 for 31 Abid while Bilal and Arif took a wicket a piece. In reply Kashmir XI started confidently but could manage only 150 runs with Sami (28), Abid (42) and Owais (35) being the main scorers while Ashiq (3 for 27), Mohsin (2 for 30) and Shakeel (2 for 32) excelled to give Sindh XI a comfortable win by 48 runs.
