RIYADH: King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Green, got the better of Indian Strikers by four wickets to enter the knockout stage of the American Express Twenty20 cricket tournament, organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association, here.

Indian Strikers made first use of the track and managed a total of 141 runs. Sunil was the highest scorer with 45 runs. Ranjeeth supported him with 39. Mansoor and Safdar picked 2 wickets each.

In reply KFSH Green raced to the target after 15.3 overs. Kausar scored 38 runs. Anees picked up 2 wickets.

In another interesting match, AKCC edged past Star XI by 14 runs. AKCC posted 224 after they batted first.

Kamran was instrumental in his team’s victory after he scored a brilliant 100, which came off 50 balls. Other notable contributions were from Shahbaz 32, Sultan 26 and Kamal 22. Imtiaz and Waheed picked 2 wickets each.

Star XI in reply fought hard but fell short of the target by 14 runs. Safdar 45, Ghulam 44 and Imtiaz 36 tried to make a fight of it. Zia and Sultan picked 2 wickets each.

Later, Hyderabadi Warriors beat Crescent by 45 runs. Hyderabadi Warriors posted 230 runs. Mubashir hit 83. Moazam picked 3 wickets. Crescent in reply managed 185. Khurram added 63. Shahnawaz picked 2 wickets.
