The Riyadh Cricket League starts the new 2014-2015 season Friday with the first T20 tournament dubbed Power Zone T20 Cup.

This season-opening tournament is sponsored by Power Zone Company through CEO Mamoor Elahi who is expected to grace the opening ceremony along with RCL Executive Committee at RCL grounds .

Elahi, also president of RCL, announced that there will be no change in the RCL executive committee for the new season as the performance of the existing committee is commendable .

- The Patron In Chief is Prince Sultan bin Naser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Patron Jawad Khalifa, President Mamoor Elahi, Senior Vice President Jawaid Munawar, Vice President Hanif Baber, Chief Operating Officer Aasif Shaikh , Senior Adviser Razaur Rahman, General Secretary Riaz Ahmed, Public Relation Officer Rehan Khan, Joint Secretary Zakaria Hussain , IT Officer Zunair Zafar and Grounds and Umpiring Tariq Butt

All the teams are requested to be at the venue early at 7 a.m. Friday for the opening ceremony. Special gift items are to be distributed to the teams such as RCL wooden wickets with RCL logo and RCL caps. Arrangements were made for the cricketing activities so that grounds cleaning and levelling, pavilion repair marking of boundaries were done though other additional work is still in progress.

This season 28 teams have registered with RCL as follows:

Mehran CC, Pakhtoon Khawah CC, Mughal CC, Ever Green CC, Super CC, National CC, Game Pro CC, Royal Fighters CC, CRICKET SAMARWA – AXA, Shaheen XI, Kokan Green CC, OSN-Warriors, Diamond CC, Sagar CC, JMIAA CC, Riyadh Blues, Gujranwala, Black Caps CC, Detecon Rising Star’s CC, Shaheen Strikers, Run Riderz, Pak CC, Cricketers CC, Maestro CC, Riyadh Pirates CC, Pure Health CC, Chanar CC and Insaf CC.
