JEDDAH: After the success of the recent of Saudi Premier League JCA, the biggest T20 cricket event in Saudi Arabia dubbed Saudi T20 Cup 2016 was launched with a total of 27 top teams participating in this tournament.

JCA will provide 14 T-shirts and 14 caps for each team, the dresses and caps designed especially for this event. Also, official umpires will have outfits with sponsors and tournament Logos.

This event sponsored by Reel & Rom-Ut Lines is the second in line after the Saudi Premier League, and JCA will have another event with this same pattern like Indian Premier League to encourage the teams and individual players with special dresses, caps and the man of the matches and performance awards will be awarded in a professional way not conventional.

JCA CEO Muhammad Iqbal congratulated all participating teams to abide by the rules and regulations and appreciated the brainchild of this event Haroon Abdullah bin Mahfooz, who is also the man who made the innovative cricket event Saudi Premier League.

JCA President Aijaz Ahmed Khan dedicated this event to JCA CEO Muhammad Iqbal and Haroon Abdullah and he thanked the sponsors, print media and the participating teams. Khan emphasized to abide by the decisions by the professional umpires provided by the management of JCA.

The JCA VP Hamid Rana conducted the draw at a local restaurant in Jeddah and also discussed the salient features of the event.

This event is divided into three groups, eight teams in group-A & eight teams in Group-B, two groups in the morning sessions and one group in the afternoon session with eleven teams to play the league matches and eight teams will qualify for the quarterfinal knockout stage en route to the final. A.A. Merchant, the torch bearer of JCA, was the master of ceremony during the draw meeting.

Bracketed in Group-A are: Saudi Oil, Pak Shaheen, Jamoom Fighters, Gujarat Eagles, MCH Green, Ittihad, UT Lines, MCH Blazers, Group-B: ARM United, King Stars, Universal United, Reel & Rom, Lahore Badshah, Jamoom Tigers, Malik-XI, ACE Travel, Afternoon Group: MCH Premier, Peeran-XI, AJA-XI, NAJ, ICAD, Hala International School, Pepsi Deccan Knights, M.B.Stars and Saudi German Hospital.
