JEDDAH: The fourth week of Jeddah champions Trophy cricket tournament saw the batsmen dominate proceedings as the bowlers failed to take advantage of revised playing conditions.

The tournament had started off by implementing batting on both sides of the pitch to enable bowlers take advantage of the wind and changing field positions, but instead it’s the batsmen who have been successful to cope with the demands and come out on top as most of the teams scored in excess of 8 runs per over.

Meanwhile Reliance CC and BWC KKR maintained their clean record by winning all of their league matches against each of their opponent teams to qualify for the knockouts as the top teams from their respective groups.

With 40 participating teams divided into 8 groups, 4 teams from each group will qualify for the knockouts starting 16th of October.

The tournament is being organized by team Azizia Deccan and sponsored by Ford-Al Jazirah Vehicles under the co-sponsorship of TREVIASC (Trevi Group), Spice Sense, MOA Digital Outdoor Media & E Lounge.
