DAMMAM: A brilliant unbeaten 214 by Kashif Riaz enabled Aims Bindelamah to get the better of Gyptech Age Dolphins by 58 runs in the Matski Maritime Premier Division League, organized by the Eastern Province Cricket Association here.

In a high scoring match, Aims Bindelamah piled up a record 401 for 2. Waseem Malik at the other end scored a well-made 117 runs.

In reply the young Dolphins outfit fought bravely and put up 353 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Zuhair Bukhairi (64), Haziq Khan (54) and Umer Ahmed (49) were the main contributors. Aamir of Bindelamah took 3 wickets.

A record 251 runs opening stand between Irfan Farooqui (168) and Imran Farooqui scripted Sikander Farooqui victory over AlTuwairqi. Both openers sent AlTuwairqi bowlers on leather hunt from the start.

Irfan Farooqui (168) scored freely, supported by his brother Imran Farooqui (77) who crafted his innings with nine boundaries. Aftab Magray of AlTuwairqi fought the lone battle and scored 90 runs. Tajamal Hayat later propped up the innings with his third successful 50. However, that was not good enough for AlTuwairqui as they fell short by 45 runs. In another thrilling encounter between two experienced sides, AlGhamdi won the battle of nerves by beating AlDossary (Kanoo). AlDossary openers had an effortless unbeaten hundred stand, but with the introduction of Nadeem, who got rid of four top order batsmen, AlDossary could muster 257 runs.

In reply AlGhamdi’s openers Ahmed Rauf and Qasim Shah played sensibly and built the platform scoring individual half centuries, which helped AlGhamdi score an easy win. AlDossary (Kanoo) 257 for 9 (Munawar 59, Naheed 54, Karthik 42; Nadeem 3 wickets) lost to AlGhamdi 261 for 7 (Ahmed Rauf 66, Qasim Shah 51; Afridi 3 wickets).

Qeiser Muqeem continued his brilliant form this season as he scored another astonishing unbeaten ton to help Gulf Steel beat Pak Saudi. Pak Saudi 237 for 10 (Tufail Jamshed 44, Mohammed Shafeeq 42; Umer Khan Lodhi 3 wickets) lost to Gulf Steel 241 for 4 (Qeiser Muqeem 107 not out) by 4 wickets.

In the first division’s match of the day, Syed Wasey’s devastating spell of 5 for 33 sent Bindelamah Adpco crashing. Bindelamah won the toss and put AMPS Friends in to bat. For Friends XI Muraad Khan scored a magnificent 111 runs, to help his team reach 207 runs. Bindelamah’s flamboyant opener Nabeel Butt scored 55 runs off just 24 balls, but that was the only notable contribution, as they were bowled out for 136 runs which gave Friends XI a 71-run win. Friends 207 (Murad 111; Sadiq Rafeeq 3 wickets) beat Bindelamah 136 for 10 (Nabeel Bull 55; Syed Wasey 5 wickets).

Harley-Davidson CC scored a comfortable 43 runs win over EI Plus Arabia. Harley-Davidson CC 248 for 9 (Saleemullah Daar 4 wickets) beat EI Plus Arabia 205 for 10 (Faisal Saleem 4 wickets & Osman Abdul Ghani 3 wickets).

In a high scoring encounter Arif’s brilliant ton could not save Royal Kashmir as DHL Express got better by one wicket. Royal Kashmir 325 for 10 (Arif 102, Ajaz 42; Nirmal Jayasantha 5 wickets) lost to DHL Express 326 for 9 (Mehboob Karim 75, Abdul Moiz 45, Raja Manazhir 44; Ajaz 3 wickets).

Hyderabad Green 269 (Arsalan Ahsan, Shamas Cheema 44, Muhammad Ijaz 41, Kashif 3 wickets) beat Imran Tigers Academy 183 for 10 (Nadeem Butt 42; Abdullah Omar 3 & Raja Siab 3 wickets) by 86 runs.

ASZT Young Guns 271 for 8 (Farhan Zaidi 40, Bilal 44, Usman Khan 51 not out) beat KLV AlKhodary CC 228 for 10 (Nazir Pasha 74, Usman Khan 3 & Imad 3 wickets) by 43 runs.

Gladiators CC 282 for 8 (Wamique Mirza 70, Sarfaraz 50; Rizwan 3 wickets) beat TOYA Young Stars 256 for 10 (Tahir Mughal 80, Ali Raza 41; Nabeel & Talha 3 wickets each) by 26 runs.
