YANBU: Rising Stars, Pak Crescent B, Cristal and Jotun Paints won their respective matches in the Yanbu Al Sinaiyah Cricket Association’s Jotun Cup cricket tournament.

Rising Star defeated Green Stars by four runs. Green Stars won the toss and elected to field first. Rising Stars batting first were all out for 77 in 20 overs, in which Aamir (19) was the only highlight with well supported by (14) runs for extras. From Green Stars Habib Riyaz took four wickets for 18runs while Waseem Tahir and Arshad Ansary took two wickets each. In response Green Stars could not achieve the target and managed 74 runs. Waseem (20) was supported by extras (24) runs. From Rising Stars Mohammad Same took four wickets for five runs and Mohamad Aqeel took three wickets for 20 runs.

The second match was between Jotun Paints and Panjab Eleven. Jotun Paints beat Punjab Eleven by 37 runs. Jotun Paints batting first scored 163 runs for the loss of five wickets. Afzal Saleem (71) 4x6 4x4, Iftikhar Ali (61) 3x6 2x4. While from Punjab Eleven Waqas took two wickets while Ahmad and Rizwan took one wicket each. In response Punjab Eleven were all out for 125 runs in which Shahid 43, Asghar 18. From Johtan Paints Ali Liaqat took two wickets while Ali Akbar, ahmad Shahzad, Afzal Saleem, Ali Irfan, Farook Ahmad and Qasoor Khan took one wicket each. Afzal Saleem of Johtan Paints was the Man of the Match.

In the third match, Pak Crescent B defeated Pak Eleven by 92 runs. Pak Crescent B batted first and scored 170 for the loss of seven wickets in which Waseem Mohammad (41), Qasim Khan (33) Nadeem Ahmad (23), Nadeem Khan (17) and Ghulam Mustafa (12) and well supported by extras for (30) runs. From Pak Eleven Mohammad Saeed took four wickets for 32 runs and Ali Zaib took two wickets. In response Pak Eleven were all out for 78 runs, in which Faheem Abdul Razaq (36), while Pak Crescent bowlers Ahmad Osama and Mazhar Khan took two wickets each while Mazhar Khan outstanding fielding managed three run outs and was Man of the Match.

In the fourth match, Crystal beat Royal Commission by 35 runs. Crystal batting first scored 137 runs, in which Yasir (59) 5x4 2x6, Tahir (270 and Shahbaz Ali (20). From Royal Commission Ashiq Khan and Imran Khan took two wickets each while Malik Akhtar, Ibrahim and Kumar took one wicket each. In response Royal Commission could only manage 101 runs for nine wickets in which Kumar (27) Kamara Singa (20) and Ibrahim (16). From Crystal Sagheer Ahmad took three wickets while Afzal Ameen and Shahbaz Ali took two wickets each. Sagheer Ahmad was Man of the Match.
